So I was just about to go to sleep when I decided that I couldn't resist stealing this meme from tangvampire.

Animation MemeCollapse )

I know I haven't updated LJ since like, December, and a lot has transpired in such a time...but after this weekend I plan to blogginate more regularly. And/or let you know what I've been up to in the last four months.

I AM SORT OF BEHIND ON LIFE IN GENERAL...and I don't really care. ^_^

I like how I started to get good about updating LJ regularly and then, um. SUDDEN DISTRACTIONS. Ha, I've never really thought about how easily distracted I am until Ms. dinolich pointed it out on my Stalker Meme. 8F

So yeah, remember how vaguely at the beginning of the month I said something about becoming really close friends with someone really fast? Yeah. Um. I..have a boyfriend?! 8D I had secretly really liked him for a while, and it turns out it was mutual, and we get along ridiculously well and everything's awesome. <3 It's funny 'cause apparently most people forget I swing both ways (when I told Justin I had started seeing someone he has like 'See? I told you you'd find a nice girl somewhere!' XD) but luckily people closest to me didn't seem too weirded out. Also Sean's a pretty girly guy.

Additionally, I'm going with him and his family to a cabin somewhere Tahoe-y tomorrow, soooo slight vacation. I'm coming back early during the day on New Year's Eve, and then GAZELLE'S NEW YEAR'S SHINDIG YAAAAY.

...oh yeah, that Christmas holiday that just happened. XD It didn't really seem like too big of a deal to me this year, like my family didn't get a tree or anything, none of my presents were really ZOMGAMAZINGG (I do really really want to play Animal Crossing City Folk though, and Megan's art of the Comic Con Clan definitely brightened by days~) Whatevers. My grandparents, Dylan, and I stayed over at my dad's house last night and it was, luckily, a really fun time for the most part with minimal bitchiness from my stepmom. (Again, my sister is THE CUTEST KID EVER I SWEAR. She would give me random hugs and gave me a present addressed with 'To: Lily From: Annabel. I like you.' SO CUUUUUUUUUUTE) Isaac is always a delight. XD....I don't know what else I can say. Also Oskar looks a hell of a lot like Dylan when he was super little.

Additionally there was much cribbage to be played. o.o

Past events that I don't think I really covered were the amazing random feast at Erin's house the week of my finals (tasty as hell. My friends have the best get-togethers ever.) and the day when I woke up at 4:30PM this week to Megan calling me with "ADVENTURE!"..XD It was a good time. We should wander around Berkeley when most stuff is closed more often.

OH YEAH. If you're getting a Christmas/holiday present you will get it EVENTUALLY but hopefully soon, and I am still fucking sending out Christmas cards because I bought a bunch. They can be winter cards. I don't even know, but it's still happening.
Stalker Meme time 'cause why the hell not.

Dec. 9th, 2008

I keep thinking it's Wednesday already. D: Baughjabdlafra. I've been in a kind of I-hate-my-school mood all day. Wait, yesterday too. DD:

Anyways Saturday I met up with Megan and Bennett to go to the San Francisco Academy of Science (Megan had to for her art class, and who wants to go to a museum alone?) and I got there WAAAY before they did so I killed time in the Huge Sf Mall and ate Jamba Juice and a fondant. QUITE A WINNING COMBINATION. We found each other eventually despite Sf's crazy traffic rules and got over there. Turned out it was the museum with the Planetarium but the Planetarium was CLOSED so we entertained ourselves with an aquarium and taxidermied African animals for like, two hours. Not the science adventure that we had hoped for, but at least I saw a giant sea bass.

You know what's weird? Becoming pretty close friends with someone really fast. Well, both weird and cool. :D

Yesterday I had my first final (Math) which wasn't terrible per se but I forgot that we could have a page of notes. :F Ah well. Today I didn't have any so I just kind of hung out in the cafe and read my hilariously crappy YA fantasy novel (Daughters of the Moon: The Secret Scroll, FYI). At some point my friend Edrian showed up, so we were chatting along when this sort-of-kind-of mutual friend Alicia flies out of nowhere...and proceeded to make the conversation 86000x more awkward. I...it...was bad. Terrible conversationalist all around. I sent out an SOS call via text and had Erin call me so I could pretend it was important and leave. That is the only time I have done this IN MY LIFE. More on this later in vlog form.

I realized I get out for Christmouse brick waaayyy before everyone else. (This Friday) I think I may just actually, finally, legitimately clean my room after wanting to for two years. It's not even so much of a cleaning as a brave exploration. :o I may need a sherpa.

(FYI the last time I explored my room on a somewhat lesser scale I found the Powerpuff Girl postcards, what has now become The Awesome Notebook, and $50.)
Got replacement contacts! :D

Somehow I've ended up only being in my dorm for like, 2 hours this week. I don't really know how it happened, but I've been residing in my actual house all week. 8F

Anyways I realized I never actually posted my holiday wishlist-thing here (partially because I lurk around holiday_wishes a lot) soooo yeah here is a copypasta if you're in a gifty sort of mood.

1. Anything from my Amazon wish list My Amazon.com Wish List (might as well get it out of the way) which…really shows off my weird taste. XD I have a bizarre love of terrible movies, as you may have noticed. (Well, and quirky, good movies too)And musicals…and comics.. Second-hand is TOTALLY FINE, I don’t even care, as long as it is still functional.
2. Dark green nail polish, or, really, any unusual color of nail polish. When I say unusual I mean it, for example I have a bright teal color that I LOVE.
3. I really like mood rings, so those would be rad. I used to have a really cool heart-shaped mood ring that lasted for years, but then during finals my sophomore year in high school it literally fell apart. Ha, guess I must have really been stressing out. ;] I wear rings size 6-8.
4. If you read a lot, love books, and have a lot of them just lying around, join PaperBackSwap.com! I actually joined because I heard about it from this community last year, and it was definitely an awesome decision because I’ve gotten a ton of cool books. It’s like a used book store with over two million books, except you only have to pay for shipping. If you do happen to join, please use me as a referrer by my username (Eudial) so that I can additionally get credit, because that would most likely make my day.
5. European candy would be awesome, types of stuff I like are chocolate oranges, Milka bars, English toffee, Baci, Wine Gums, and Dutch black licorice. Not fond of coconut and mint, but aside from that I’ll totally try anything.
6. A ring or necklace with an octopus. I like octopi, I like jewelry, what can I say.
7. This is my friend’s DeviantArt account, I would love it if she got more people to commission her for stuff. As you can see she’s a really talented cartoonist and artist in general, and a lot of the time I don’t really think she gets her due. She’s also selling some originals which look even more amazing in person.
8. Go support your local or high school theatre! Not only will they definitely appreciate your support, but performing for a full house is much more gratifying than for a handful of people in an otherwise empty theatre. If you don’t think going to plays are your thing, you may be pleasantly surprised.
9. Blank notebooks/notepads. I write a lot, and I’m always using like six at a time for different reasons. Even if they’re totally ugly or boring, I will still write in it.
10. Disney princess stuff, especially Mulan. My friend got me sparkly Disney princess pens from the dollar store once and they seriously made my week.

Yesterday...was an experience. Let's begin with a meme (taken from the amazing Saucekat) and I'll further explain from there.
We do what we like and we like what we doCollapse )

Speaking of why I'm wearing glasses....YEAH. A week ago today I woke up to find that one of my contacts had mysteriously ripped, and as I'm out of replacements I'm basically fucked and have to wear my broken glasses everywhere. I HATE MY GLASSES. When I realized I had to wear them I seriously considered not leaving my room all day so that no one would see them/comment on them/draw attention to them.

I'm fine wearing glasses for the most part, it's not that I DESPISE how I look in them or whatever, but they're fucking broken and it's really annoying. (FYI they're broken because they're missing an arm. YEAH.) I called in to order a replacement contact until I can get an appointment to get new ones, and so far the replacement is not there and the next appointment they have is December 10. D<

I think most people don't realize this unless they know me really well, but I tend to compulsively lie about how I feel/how situations are a lot. Like someone will ask how I am and most of the time I'll say something like, "Oh, I'm okay," or whatever, when I'm really not in fact okay, and am the opposite. If it's a really close friend I might say something a little less positive-sounding. Bah, anyway the reason I bring this up is that I've been kind of in a mostly not-good mood for the past...few weeks or so, and because no one at school knows me that well...they don't pick up on it. :/ Which then just kind of cascades into a vicious cycle of doooooom and emo aaaand yeah.

In other news, Dylan is 17 as of...holy crap, an hour and 43 minutes ago. XD Oh nighttime, you pass by so quickly.
Ha, I like how I have legitimate LJ posts like, once a month. I should get better at that.

I'm going to sum up things that happened longer ago quickly:
• Russell Brand show? WAS AWESOME. Um...we sat in one of the first few rows and got autographs and pictures later because the club was super small.
• Repo the Genetic Opera IS AWESOME and continues to be badass at theaters that are still playing it. Both of the theaters around here that were stopped for some reason in the middle of last week. :[
• My mom got laid off from her job she had had for about a month. :/ She's been doing a lot of individual work for people and it looks like there's a shop...in Rockridge? that sounded interested in hiring her.
• I told my grandmother I had conflicted feelings about my school, and she wanted to know -- I am DIRECTLY quoting -- if people were "picking on me". What. The fuck. Um. No. I have not been 'picked on' since I was ten years old, and I fought back.
• NaNoWriMo is now over...I did not completely finish it, partially due to being a crazy jet-setting fool (I realized the other day that since school has started I have not resided in one place for more than 4 days.) but also because BLARGH I have issues. Which is not old news, but still is something that I have not been able to remedy successfully. Anyway, I am still definitely finishing this particular story. I bought an official shirt for this year and I'm not letting myself wear it until I get to 50K.

I saw Twilight on the opening day with Justin and his boyfriendy-type, David. JACOB AND SONS. SODOM AND GOMMORAH. It was so, so terrible. If it was not based on popular books it would have fucking bombed. It is possibly the most awkward film I have ever seen (I swear the direction for the two leads was probably something like 'Be as awkward as you can. ALL THE TIME.') and it made it even more obvious that Bella and Edward do not have any chemistry as characters. It certainly had its laughable moments though, so that was fun.

Thanksgiving was...typical? I guess. XD I'm not really a huge fan, and it's not even that big of a deal in my family. We go to my grandma's house and eat, and then probably watch movies or something. Additionally there's only like, six of us, and my grandmother is an extremely awkward creature, so Dylan, Mom, and I are all practically having seizures trying to come up with something to do.

Friday I went to go see Bolt with a bunch of people which was SO CUTE. D: After that we went to Maggie Moo's to harass people we knew who work there/eat ice cream, and later meandered to Sarah Guzzaldo's house to watch Hey Arnold! the Movie. Eventually we decided to go on a nighttime adventure and wound up walking to Best Buy. XD ...we're cool. There was fog and everything.

Today I ventured to the Westfield Mall in Sf (Pronounced like 'sif'. It's how the cool kids say it.) to go shopping with Jesse. Mall is large, and very stereotypical of the city it resides in. On the plus side, Beard Papa's is the best chain store-thing ever. (THEY SELL CHOCOLATE FONDANTS. AND ECLAIRS.) Later I visited her dorm which is definitely the most pathetic excuse for a collegiate residence I have seen so far, and then left for home via BART. Not before stopping by the HUEG Union Square Borders and leaving notes in copies of Paper Towns, though. (NERDFIGHTERS *hand symbol spasm*)

Oh lol.

Oh. My God. kurafufu posted about this recockulously awesome poll earlier, and the comments are HILARIOUS.

I know I was an angsty emo stalker for Buffy, but at least I don't f**king sparkle.

Bite me, disco boy.

Moar.Collapse )

THERE ARE WAY MORE.

A real LJ entry later. Probably. Maybe. 'Cause I've been up to a lot but at the same time BAAAAHH I need to read 100 pages and NaNo for like, a year. 8F
Well, first of all OBAMA GOT ELECTED. Oh. My God. Wow. 8D

Additionally I am totally checking the Prop 8 tally until I go to bed, and although it looks retardedly grim all I have to say is we may lose this battle, but that doesn't mean we'll stop fighting. Also...

Can you tell I like making bizarre faces?
</politics>

Anywayyy. The Paper Towns signing was pretty much amazing. John Green...I don't even know. As well as being an awesome writer he's just so articulate and witty and AWESOME. At one point he ended up calling Edward Cullen an "empty vessel unto which people project their hopes and dreams". Yes. Aaaand I got my book signed. 8D Yeah. Everyone should read Paper Towns. Seriously.

Halloween was spent with Megan, Erin, and Thurston hanging out in the Sunvalley Mall and eating Cinnabons. :o It was nifty. Saturday was my Halloween party, which was overall a super rad time: I saw a bunch of people I hadn't seen in a while...like Gazelle...and had fun watching crazy movies and wandering around in the damp night. ALTHOUGH we forgot to have a Costume Contest. I don't know how the hell that happened. Ah well, it'll be remedied.

Today as well as voting I bought tickets to go see Repo! the Genetic Opera on Friday FUCK YESSSSSS. It took me about thirty minutes too long to do so, and the people working there were more than slightly befuddled that I was buying eight tickets for it, but I emerged from the ordeal VICTORIOUS. I am so fucking excited.

Additionally, in a mere 41 hours, I am seeing Russell Brand OHMIGAWWD. Umm my friends and I kind of are obsessed with Russell Brand. If you weren't aware of this. YEAH.

For some reason my phone decided it hates Twitter. :[ It's very sad. I feel disconnected from the wooooorld~ bah. XD (Also yeah, I am obsessed with Twitter.)

My NaNo progress is also making me D: I need to step up my game or something. 8F

Oct. 15th, 2008

The next three days are going to be kind of insane, but only in the I-hope-I-can-go-everywhere-and-get-everything-in-time way because otherwise it's looking to be pretty badass. :D Basically I'm leaving IMMEDIATELY after class tomorrow to go to my high school, go to a JAG meeting, and visit kids, and then Friday apparently going to JAG's rival's meeting, picking Megan up at some time, and hanging out around Company. Saturday will be a city trip of hopefully rad proportions...and maybe multiple people sleeping over? XD Still unsure on that front.

Anyways...I am stealing this meme from Saaski because I want to see what some of you come up with.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now,(even if we don't speak often or ever) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your LJ and see what your friends come up with.

...I can already bet what one of these responses will be. XD Don't disappoint me.
